Our History

The WATCOM Ltd. founded Russia’s market of people counting solutions. Now we are successfully using a unique experience gained throughout years of our operation in the field of monitoring and analyzing people flows. Our professional experience has already got official and public recognition.

1999

The company has just been born. Its specialists are designing technologies of automatic monitoring the attendance. Russia’s market of people counting solutions and services arises.

2000

An extended range of the WATCOM’s CountMax® people counting solutions comes out into Russia’s market.

2000 – 2001

The company takes up leading positions in Russia’s market of people counting solutions and attendant services.

2002

The WATCOM’s technical solutions have been certified and recognized as fully corresponding to Russia’s state standards.

2003

Our share in Moscow’s market of commercial real estate exceeds 55 %. Russia’s federal authorities certify our CountMax® technical solutions with a Patent on Utility model..

2004

Our share in entire Russia’s market exceeds 40 %. The WATCOM obtains two rewards for its impact into the development of Russia’s market of people counting solutions – the Golden Merchant and the Golden Balance. The latter reward is obtained for the second time a year later.

2005

The WATCOM becomes a member of the Russian Council of Shopping Centers – ICSC Russia. It also becomes an official partner of the Moscow City Government in the creation of the United Index of Customer Flows. The Via Populi reward offered by the WATCOM has been approved by the ICSC Russia as one of the official rewards at the Rating of Shopping Centers held in Moscow every year.

2005-2006

The project of the United Index of Customer Flows is being developed. The centralized All-Russian database is being formed.
